1970’s | Local Production of Ball & Roller Bearings in Australia. Growth in Mining / Railway sectors in Western Australia, supplied to Hamersley Iron (Rio Tinto) and Mount Newman Mining Company (BHP). |
1980’s | Supply started to Ford Australia and Holden (wheel bearings). |
1991 | Change of company name to “Koyo Australia Pty. Ltd.” |
1990’s | Introduction of Universal Driveshaft to Rev Roughing Mill and won Roll Neck Bearing business (100%) at One Steel Whyalla in SA. Supply started to Mitsubishi Motors Australia (wheel bearings) |
1998 | Obtained AS/NZS ISO9001: 2000 Certification |
2006 | Supply stared to Toyota Australia for locally built Camry (3rd Gen Hub Bearing Units & Strut Bearings) |
2010 | Acquisition of the Torrington Needle Roller Bearing business from The Timken Company |
2017 | Centralisation and integration of operation to Sydney Head Office at Seven Hills |
